AI Growth Kit vs WayinVideo

WayinVideo is built around AI Clipping: turning one long upload, or a pasted YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook or Dailymotion link, into short, captioned, reframed clips, on plans from $13.99 a month (a promotional $4.99 the first year when billed yearly) up to $139.99 for Scale. AI Growth Kit has no clipping tool at all, so this comparison covers only the two places the products actually overlap: captions and 4K upscaling. For captions at real volume, WayinVideo's flat monthly credits beat our per-second rate; for 4K upscaling, WayinVideo has no tool at any price, so AI Growth Kit is the only option between the two.

Pricing modelPay-as-you-go credits, no subscription required. Plans: $19/mo for 600 credits or $49/mo for 2,000. Packs: $9 for 200, $29 for 750, $59 for 1,800; pack credits never expire.Subscription plans, called "Standard" on the pricing page and "Starter" in its own help center (same tier): $13.99/month (500 credits), or a promotional $4.99/month billed yearly ($59.88 the first year, then $83.88/year, 6,000 credits granted upfront). Pro is $26.99/month (1,000 credits) or $9.58/month billed yearly (12,000 credits upfront); Scale is $139.99/month (6,000 credits) or $69.99/month billed yearly (72,000 credits upfront). Free plan20 credits once at sign-up. No watermark, including output paid for with the free credits.100 credits once at sign-up, no credit card required. Its own free-tier conversion (100 credits ≈ 100 minutes of AI Clipping or ≈ 400 minutes of AI subtitles) is the only published credit-to-minutes rate on the site. Capped at 720p export and 3-day storage. No watermark on any plan, including Free.
Long-video-to-clips automationNo dedicated tool, and nothing here detects highlights or cuts a long recording into shorter clips. The core feature: AI Clipping finds highlights in a long upload or a pasted YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook or Dailymotion link and cuts them into short clips. Find Moments searches inside a video for a specific scene or quote, AI Reframe keeps a speaker in frame across 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9, and Game Clipping does the same for gameplay recordings.
Captions2 credits per second of input video, burned into the picture only. No separate SRT or VTT file, no style picker beyond the default, 20 languages. The Subtitles tool inside the Video Editor lets you edit the transcript before export, and exports a burned-in video or a separate SRT, VTT or TXT file. Its own site claims 100+ caption languages to our 20.
Captions in another language/subtitle can render the captions in a different one of its 20 languages too, still burned into the picture only — no separate file.A separate, always-free tool puts the same captions into one of 100+ other languages and exports SRT or TXT, with the option to show the original and new lines together or the new ones alone. No credit card required, and the page states it adds no watermark.
Video upscalingDedicated 4K upscaler: 3 credits per second of input video (180 a minute), one input to one 4K output. No upscaling or resolution-enhancement tool. Paid plans do raise the Video Editor's maximum export resolution above Free's 720p cap, but that's a ceiling on the render, not an AI enhancement of a lower-resolution source.
What the same balance also buysGenerated video clips (10 credits per output second), image generation (8 credits per image), video extend and a prompt-based video edit, from the same credits.AI Video generates a short clip from a text prompt or image, and AI Thumbnails generates image sets, both from the same plan credits. No dedicated upscaler, and no extend or edit tool for a clip you already have.
Upload sources and limitsDirect file upload only: MP4, MOV or WebM up to 30 minutes for Subtitle; same formats and length for Upscale.A local file upload (10 GB per file on Standard, 30 GB on Pro and Scale) or a pasted link from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook or Dailymotion. AI Reframe is capped at 30 minutes of source on Standard, 120 on Pro, and is unlimited on Scale.
StorageSource files are deleted after 30 days; finished outputs are kept while your account is active.3 days on Free (512 MB); 50 GB on Standard, 100 GB on Pro, 150 GB on Scale, per its help center.

Where WayinVideo is clearly better

This is the whole category WayinVideo is built for and we aren't: AI Clipping finds highlights in a long upload or a pasted YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook or Dailymotion link and cuts them into short clips, Find Moments searches inside a video for a specific scene or quote, AI Reframe keeps a speaker in frame while switching between 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9, and Game Clipping does the same for gameplay recordings. Nothing here does any of that.

Its own captions are also more capable than ours on paper: the Subtitles tool inside the Video Editor lets you edit the transcript before exporting, and exports a burned-in video or a separate SRT, VTT or TXT file — WayinVideo's own site claims 100+ caption languages to our 20. There's also a separate, always-free tool that puts the same captions into one of 100+ other languages and exports SRT or TXT, with no credit card required and, per its FAQ, no watermark; our Subtitler can render captions in a different one of its 20 languages too, but only burned into the picture, with no file to download.

Where AI Growth Kit is better

AI Growth Kit has a dedicated 4K upscaler — 3 credits per second of input video — and WayinVideo has none. Its plans do raise the Video Editor's maximum export quality above Free's 720p cap, but that's a ceiling on what the editor renders, not an AI enhancement of a lower-resolution source; nothing on WayinVideo's own tool list sharpens an existing video.

For an occasional captioning or upscaling job, there's no subscription to start or cancel: a $9 Starter Pack covers 100 seconds of captions or 50 seconds of 4K upscaling, and leftover credits never expire. WayinVideo's monthly-billed credits reset every billing cycle whether you use them or not; even its discounted $4.99-a-month first-year rate is still a recurring plan, not a one-time purchase.

What each option costs for a real job

A single short job, no subscription at either place: a 60-second clip that needs captions costs 60 × 2 = 120 credits here, $5.40 from a $9 Starter Pack (the leftover 80 credits never expire). WayinVideo's one-time 100 free credits, at its own free-tier conversion rate (100 credits ≈ 400 minutes of AI subtitles, about 0.25 credits a minute), would likely cover the same minute of captions at no cost at all — that one-time allowance just doesn't renew once it's used.

At a recurring 10 minutes of captions a month, 10 × 120 = 1,200 credits here: $54 from Starter Packs, $39.33 from Power Packs ($59 for 1,800 credits, our cheapest pack rate), or $29.40 on a fully used $49 Pro plan (2,000 credits a month). WayinVideo doesn't sell captions by the minute — its Standard plan's 500 credits a month (or 6,000 granted upfront on the discounted annual rate) cover AI Clipping, captions and everything else in the editor from one pool, and at its own free-tier conversion rate that allowance would barely be touched by 10 minutes of captions alone. Past a handful of minutes a month, the $13.99 (or discounted $4.99 first-year) Standard plan beats paying us per second for captions — the same finding as our AI Video Cut and Submagic comparisons.

Upscaling has no WayinVideo price to compare against, because it has no upscaling tool: a 2-minute clip upscaled to 4K costs 2 × 180 = 360 credits here, $18 from two Starter Packs, $11.80 from a Power Pack, or $8.82 on a fully used Pro plan.

How to decide

Start with whether the job is turning a long recording into clips, or just captioning and sharpening a clip you already have.

Choose WayinVideo if…

  • You want a long recording automatically cut into clips, with the source pulled straight from a pasted YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook or Dailymotion link — that's WayinVideo's whole product, and nothing here does it.
  • You want AI Reframe to keep a speaker centered while switching between 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 automatically.
  • You caption more than a few minutes of video a month — WayinVideo's $13.99 (or discounted $4.99 first-year) Standard plan beats paying us per second past a low volume.
  • You need an editable transcript and a real SRT, VTT or TXT caption file, or captions in more than our 20 languages.
  • You want a free, no-credit-card tool to put captions into one of 100+ other languages with a downloadable file, for a single job.

Choose AI Growth Kit if…

  • You need a video upscaled to 4K — WayinVideo has no upscaling tool at any price.
  • You want credits that never expire instead of a monthly plan allowance that resets whether you use it or not.
  • You'd rather pay once for an occasional captioning or upscaling job than start any subscription, including WayinVideo's discounted first-year rate.

Questions

How much does WayinVideo cost?

As of November 2026, wayin.ai/pricing lists four self-serve tiers: Free ($0, 100 one-time credits), Standard ($13.99 a month, or a discounted $4.99 a month the first year when billed yearly — $59.88 for the year, then $83.88 a year after that — 500 credits a month or 6,000 granted upfront on the annual plan), Pro ($26.99 a month or $9.58 a month billed yearly, 1,000 credits a month or 12,000 upfront yearly), and Scale ($139.99 a month or $69.99 a month billed yearly, 6,000 credits a month or 72,000 upfront yearly). Enterprise is custom pricing through its sales team. WayinVideo's own help center calls the same entry plan "Starter" rather than "Standard" — the two names refer to the same tier.

Does WayinVideo have a free plan?

Yes — 100 credits once at sign-up, no credit card required, capped at 720p export with storage kept for 3 days. By its own free-tier conversion that's enough for about 100 minutes of AI Clipping or 400 minutes of AI subtitles, and WayinVideo states no plan, including Free, carries a watermark.

Can WayinVideo upscale a video to 4K?

Not as an AI enhancement. Paid plans raise the Video Editor's maximum export resolution above Free's 720p cap, but that only changes the ceiling the editor renders at — it doesn't sharpen a lower-resolution source the way an upscaler does. WayinVideo's own help center doesn't list an upscaling tool at all.

Can AI Growth Kit export an SRT or VTT caption file?

No. The Subtitler burns captions into the MP4 only; there's no separate file today. If an editable transcript or a caption file matters more than price, WayinVideo's Subtitles tool, or our Submagic comparison, cover that case.

Does putting WayinVideo's captions into another language cost credits?

Not for the standalone tool that just does that — it's advertised as free with no credit card required. The Subtitles tool inside WayinVideo's main Video Editor, which captions a video in the first place, draws on your plan's credits instead.
