If you subtitle more than a few minutes of video a month, pay for VEED: Creator's unlimited auto-subtitles (50-hour fair-use limit), a line editor and SRT export beat our per-second credits and burned-in-only output. For a sharper 4K file, AI Growth Kit is the better buy, since VEED has no AI video upscaler.

Where VEED is clearly better
VEED is a full browser video editor; AI Growth Kit is a set of single-purpose AI tools that each return one finished file. If you cut clips, add music or text, or collect feedback from colleagues, VEED does that and we don't.
Subtitles are VEED's strongest case: unlimited auto-subtitles on paid plans, lines you can click to correct, styled and animated captions, and SRT, VTT or TXT downloads. Our Subtitler burns one default style into an MP4, with no line editor or file export yet. VEED also lists 125+ languages to our 20, and at volume it costs less: at 20 minutes of subtitles a month, a $25 Creator seat replaces $62 to $67 of our credits.
Where AI Growth Kit is better
Sharper 4K files from 720p or 1080p footage: our 4K Upscaler does this with AI for 3 credits per second. VEED exports 4K on Pro and Studio, but its own Video Enhancer page says video not filmed in 4K can't be made 4K.
Small or irregular volume: no subscription is required and there are no seats, a $9 pack covers 100 seconds of subtitles, pack credits never expire, and failed jobs are refunded. On VEED, unused AI credits and translation minutes don't roll over.
A flat rate for AI video clips: 10 credits per second on any of five models (Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 and others), instead of VEED's fixed monthly AI-credit allowance that varies by model (500 credits on Creator, 2,500 on Pro, 15,000 on Studio).
VEED pricing at three monthly volumes
Our rates as of October 2026: subtitles cost 2 credits per second (120 a minute), 4K upscaling 3 (180 a minute). A minute of subtitles therefore costs $5.40 in $9 packs (200 credits), $3.93 in the $59 Power Pack (1,800 credits, 15 minutes) and $2.94 on a fully used $49 Pro plan (2,000 credits). Pack credits never expire, so pack costs are monthly averages. VEED prices are USD per editor, checked in October 2026.
Light, 2 minutes of subtitles a month: 2 × 120 = 240 credits, $10.80 in $9 packs (2 × $5.40). VEED Free covers it if a watermark, 720p and no SRT file are acceptable; otherwise Creator costs $25 a month, or $147 ÷ 12 = $12.25 billed yearly.
Regular, 20 minutes a month: 20 × 120 = 2,400 credits. The $49 Pro plan covers 2,000 and two $9 packs the other 400, so $67 a month (about $62 if the 400 come from a Power Pack). VEED Creator stays at $25 ($12.25 billed yearly), SRT export included. At our best pack price the break-even is about 6 minutes a month against VEED's monthly price ($25 ÷ $3.93 = 6.4) and 3 against its yearly price ($12.25 ÷ $3.93 = 3.1); with $9 packs it is 4.6 and 2.3.
Translated audio (VEED calls this AI dubbing): one try free, then 30 minutes a month on Pro ($45, or $22.08 billed yearly) and 1 hour on Studio ($79, or $38.75 billed yearly); unused minutes don't roll over. Our /translate is temporarily paused, so there is no AI Growth Kit price to set against it right now.
Upscaling has no VEED price to compare: 3 minutes of footage is 3 × 180 = 540 credits, inside the $19 Starter plan's 600.

Do VEED's prices depend on where I live?
Yes. VEED shows local currency where available, otherwise USD; the figures here are the USD prices a US visitor saw in October 2026. Prices are per editor: two Creator seats billed monthly cost $50 a month.
Can I use both?
Yes. Upscale here, then edit and caption the MP4 in VEED. To keep a 4K file 4K, export from VEED Pro or above; Creator stops at 1080p.
