AI Growth Kit vs Rask AI

If you translate or subtitle video on a recurring basis — more than about 10 minutes a month — pay for Rask AI: its flat per-minute plans undercut our per-second credits past that point, by a wide margin at real volume, and it reaches 135+ languages against our 25. For a single small job, or if you don't want a subscription at all, AI Growth Kit is the better buy: a $9–$59 credit pack is a one-time purchase that never expires, with no plan to size or cancel.

Where Rask AI is clearly better

Rask's plans are flat per-minute rates with no real equivalent in our per-second credits: Creator costs $39 a month for 25 minutes ($1.56 a minute), falling to $0.99 a minute on Creator Pro and about $0.67 a minute on an annual Business plan. Past roughly 10 minutes of translation or subtitling a month, that beats our packs — and the gap widens fast; see the volumes below.

It also reaches further: 135+ languages for both translation and subtitles, against our 25 and 20. And it exports subtitles as SRT files; our Subtitler only burns them into the MP4 today.

Where AI Growth Kit is better

For a single small job — a few minutes, once — or if you don't want a subscription at all, a $9–$59 credit pack is a one-time purchase that never expires. Rask's minutes are tied to an active plan: there's no way to pay for just one short job without that month's Creator plan ($39) running.

We also do more than translation and subtitles from the same balance: 4K upscaling and short AI-generated video clips (Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 and others). Rask neither generates nor upscales video.

What it costs at three monthly volumes

A single 2-minute video translated into one language, once: 2 × 120 = 240 credits, so two $9 packs (400 credits) for $18. Rask has no plan below Creator, so the same one-off job costs $39 for that month even if you cancel right after.

25 minutes of translation every month, one language — Creator's exact monthly cap: Rask covers it for $39 a month ($28 a month billed yearly, $329 a year). On AI Growth Kit, 25 × 120 = 3,000 credits: the $49 Pro plan covers 2,000 (16.7 minutes), and the remaining 1,000 credits cost $32.78 from a Power Pack (1,000 ÷ 1,800 × $59) — about $81.78 a month, roughly double Rask's price.

100 minutes of subtitles every month — Creator Pro's exact monthly cap: Rask covers it for $99 a month ($67 a month billed yearly, $799 a year). The same volume on AI Growth Kit is 100 × 120 = 12,000 credits: the $49 Pro plan's 2,000 plus 10,000 credits from Power Packs (10,000 ÷ 1,800 × $59 ≈ $327.78) comes to about $376.78 a month. Past a certain volume, a dedicated per-minute plan is the only sensible choice.

How to decide

Start from how much you translate or subtitle in a typical month, and whether you want a subscription at all.

Choose Rask AI if…

  • You translate or subtitle more than about 10 minutes a month, or per job — Rask's flat per-minute plans beat our packs past that point ($39 for 25 minutes vs about $82 on AI Growth Kit; $99 for 100 minutes vs about $377).
  • You need language reach beyond our 25 (translation) or 20 (subtitles): Rask lists 135+.
  • You need subtitles as a downloadable SRT file, not a burned-in video.
  • You're fine paying for a monthly plan to get the lower per-minute rate.

Choose AI Growth Kit if…

  • Your job is small or one-off — a few minutes, once — and you don't want a subscription: a pack is a one-time buy that never expires.
  • You want the exact price before you upload, not a minutes allowance to track.
  • You also want 4K upscaling or short AI-generated video clips from the same balance.
  • You need a translated audio track in one of our 25 languages without committing to a plan.

Questions

Does Rask charge extra for extra languages?

Yes — like our credits, Rask's minutes are charged per language: a 5-minute video into two languages uses 10 minutes of your plan's allowance, the same source video charged twice. Ours works the same way: 2 credits per second, per language.

Can I use both?

Yes. Use Rask for its language reach or an SRT file; use our Translator or Subtitler for a quick one-off, or when you also want a 4K upscale or an AI-generated clip from the same account.
